Two High-profile Additions to CV Staff!
Retired Sacramento County Sheriff joins CV
John McGinness spent over 27 years with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department and has served in every service area of the Department. He is a highly decorated veteran with a background in many high-profile assignments.
McGinness served for many years as a member of the elite Sheriff’s Motorcycle Detail where he was a training officer and team leader. He also served as a CSI investigator, homicide detective and department spokesman. He was promoted through the ranks and ultimately commanded the Centralized Investigation Division until he was appointed Undersheriff in March of 2001. Mr. McGinness served as Undersheriff until elected Sheriff in 2006.
McGinness is now an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice, Communications, Leadership and Professional Studies with the California State University. He also hosts his own daily show on Sacramento’s top rated newstalk radio station AM 1530 KFBK.
McGinness holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Emergency Services Administration from the California State University, Long Beach, and is a graduate of the prestigious West Point Leadership Institute.
With a statewide reputation for outstanding leadership, he was appointed to the California POST Commission by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2007.
Leading Restoration Industry Professional Now with CV
With 37 years experience in cleaning, restoration, project management and damage appraisals, Charles Cassani provides professional consulting and expert witness services in fire, water and mold damage restoration for attorneys, insurance companies and public entities. He is qualified as an expert in personal property appraisal, cleaning, restoration and remediation by the Superior Court and U.S. Federal Court in Sacramento. Cassani was the first restoration contractor in Sacramento to become a Certified Restorer as designed by the Restoration Industry Association. This is the highest recognition awarded in the cleaning and restoration industry to professionals engaged in property damage restoration as a result of fire, smoke, water, vandalism and other perils. In March 2009, Cassani was elected to RIA’s board of directors. Cassani holds many other certifications including Certified Air Cleaning Specialist through the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). He is a licensed general contractor through the state of California with a specialty license for air dust cleaning. Cassani earned a bachelor’s degree and completed graduate work at California State University, Sacramento.
